I am soooo Broke!

Well, today was a great day! It was just how I want my Saturdays to be. We basically spent the whole day together as a family, and I love that. T started off this morning trying to make a dent in the month's worth of leaves that are in the yard. At around 10 a.m. we headed to a furniture store that was having a big sale. We bought Little buddy a mattress and boxspring set, and frame. It was 50% off, so it was a really great deal. we had to leave it there until later in the day so we could figure out a way to haul it home. We didn't think our VW Passat would do the job.

Our next errand for the day, was to go car shopping. Mini van, to be exact. We have been making due with one car, and it is getting to be a little bit rough. We have been ideally thinking we wanted a Honda Odyssey, but are having a hard time finding one in our price range, with the features we want. And the right color...that's how I pick my cars. I believe there are certain colors that are not fitting for certain makes of cars. So if we found a van that was basically what we wanted, but was one of the taboo colors, it just wouldn't do. That's just me. Anyway...we stopped at one dealer, only to find 2 1999 models for our right price (but were the wrong colors, and I don't want one that old) and all the rest were 2004, and 2006's, which were double or more the price of the 99's. So, we attempted to find another dealer that we had seen advertised. On our way, we drove past a Jeep dealer, and I told T we should drive through to see what used mini vans they had. Well, it turned out that they had one 2003 Chrysler Town and Country that was an acceptable dark blue color, had gray leather interior, CD player, and a DVD player! It was in great shape, and the price was right! We took it for a drive, and said we'll take it! Woo-Hoo! I have a new car! I love it! I am so excited!

On another note, I also went to the store to buy some sheets and bedding for Little buddy's new big boy bed, and spent a little bit of money there as well. So, while I am extremely excited about the new bed, bedding, and new car, I do feel a bit sick about all the money we have spent today. Yikes! But all in all, it has been a great day!
