Gloomy Day

I know...how clever am I at coming up with my post names. Well...that is what it honestly was today. Gloomy. It started out last night as bedtime rolled around. Little buddy was having lots of issues with "boogers" in his nose. He was having a runny nose, and he hasn't figured out the difference between snot and boogers yet. Sorry to be so detailed. I actually got him to bed at 8, which I was very proud about. He then proceeded to wake up about every 2 hours for the rest of the night complaining about "boogers". Poor guy...couldn't breathe! He also had a headache, and was crying that it hurt, and he wanted me to kiss it to make it better. He finally let T give him some medicine, and I was able to rock him back to sleep. This was around 4:45 a.m. He actually slept until 8, so that was good. T on the other hand, had only about 2 hours of sleep total. He was up late frantically writing his dissertation, and was up at 3:30 still when Little buddy woke up. I guess he rocked him for about an hour before he would let him give him the medicine. I finally stepped in, and so T went to bed. He had to be at work today at 7:30, so he really only got about 2 hours of sleep, if that.

The weather was just so gloomy, that Little buddy and I stayed in our p.j.'s until lunchtime. I let him watch t.v. and I dozed on the couch. I got a load of laundry in the dryer, and some bread mixed up in the breadmaker, but that's about it. I couldn't even get online today since T took the laptop with him. Only a few more days of not having T be fully "here" and he should be done with his dissertation, and have it sent off to his committee to get ready for his defense on the 27th. I can't wait! We want to make some changes to our new house, and I can't do them without his help. I want to repaint a few rooms, and T is going to build some shelves to put in the basement for our food storage. I have been feeling very motivated to get cracking on building our food storage, and having the things we need ready for an emergency. Maybe I feel this way since I live in tornado land, and will be here for the next long while. Who knows?

Well...it is off to bed for me! Nighty-night!
