Logan's napping place

So, the past few days I have had a struggle getting Logan to take a nap. He will get in his bed, and get all cuddly in his blankets, and close his eyes like he is ready to sleep, but then proceed to get up and come out of his room about 50 times. I keep making him get back in bed, and then pretty soon he is out again. Well, the other day after about 1 1/2 hours of this, I finally told him that he needed to at least stay in his room even he wasn't going to sleep. I took a nap, and when I woke up, it was awfully quiet in his room, so I went to check on him. He wasn't in his bed...and after looking around I saw him asleep in his rocking chair. He was sitting up, with his head down on his chest, fast asleep. I didn't get the camera that time unfortunately. Tony had just gotten home from work, so I had him come put Logan in his bed. It was pretty funny.

So, yesterday we go through the same ordeal. I am getting a cold, and I really needed some rest, so I again told Logan that even if he wasn't going to sleep, he needed to stay in his room for quiet time.Well, after the phone and doorbell kept disturbing my attempts at a nap, I decided to forget it. It was quiet again In Logan's room, so I peeked in again. The picture above is what I found. I did get the camera this time! And then I picked him up and put him in his bed for the rest of his nap. Maybe from now on I should just start him off napping in the chair instead of his bed. But then...we were going to move the chair out of his room for the baby, so I don't know what we will do then. Silly kid!

That is soo funny. Aren't kids the weirdest ducks? Alexa does that to me a lot, I'll put her in her room to take a nap, and she won't, then she'll go downstairs to watch a show and fall fast asleep. I just hate carrying her up the two flights of stairs to her room. She only takes about 1 or 2 naps a week though. Logan will be the same before you know it also. Good Luck

Any baby action yet?

CUTE! picture. So sweet and silly. And I like Logan's shirt. Hazel is a beast about naps these days, but gets so tired and ornery when she doesn't have one. What to do? I guess you just have to live through their adjustment phase. It was fun seeing pictures of Logan adn his train. Fun fun.

Good luck with that! This is so familiar - I haven't solved the problem yet either. Oh well, as long as he stays in there so you get a nap- that's all that matters!

I like your new layout. Now I won't get de ja vu when I'm reading Heather's blog. :)

Kids are so funny. I've heard that the strong willed kids are the smartest and most successful, but I'm not sure if that's true or if it's just something that people say to parents with strong willed kids to make us feel better.

I love the new pictures of Logan. What a sweet guy.
