So, all my expectations for our Turkey day were crushed around 11 p.m. last night when Logan woke up and threw up everything he had eaten all day in his bed. Of course the bed was stripped, and Logan was cleaned up and transferred to our bed, and off I went to Wal-Mart for sprite and gatorade, and a few other disinfecting and odor eliminating products. Since my sleeping areas were now both compromised, I ended up on the couch. Logan woke up around 3 to throw up again, at the same time Avery was crying to be fed (little pill.) He then awoke again around 7, and then again around 8:30 or 9. He hasn't thrown up since then, but he has been crashed on the couch ALL day since then. I don't think he has gotten up at all. Needless to say, he wasn't going anywhere for Thanksgiving. Tony was feeling a bit queasy this afternoon too, so he offered to let me take Avery to our dinner, and he stayed home with Logan. I took plenty of containers with me so I could bring home leftovers for them.
It was a little weird being there by myself, but it was nice to get away from the sick house for a while. Avery enjoyed herself very much and LOVED her mashed potatoes, green beans and jello. She wouldn't eat her roll though. I would say she had a pretty good first Thanksgiving. I am taking her to get her 9 month pictures tomorrow...once again right before she turns 10 months old. I don't know how three months goes by so fast! I am not sure if I will be joining the Black Friday shopping crowd. It isn't something I have ever done before. I don't really know what I am missing, I guess. I only ever experienced the craziness of the day when I worked at the mall.I don't really mind staying home now. Anyway...let's just hope that we are all feeling well tomorrow, and no one else gets sick! Yuck!

So sorry to hear about the puke. That sounds horrible. We spent a Christmas like that a couple of years ago. It was miserable. We ended up having spaghetti for dinner because we were too sick to go to the real dinner.
I hope you don't get whatever it is.
So far so good! Thank goodness!
I am SOOOO sorry to hear about the pukes!! As you know, throwing up is my least favorite thing to do. I don't know what it is about the holidays but it seems that there's always someone puking their guts out either around Thanksgiving or Christmas. Hopefully you'll have better luck the next holiday!
love,
Heidi
oh kerry that totally sucks! so sorry!! and sad that you went to dinner w/ avery by yourself! i bet your server was like," aww, look at this poor mom all by herself" (but you probably told her what happened anyways, huh?) :)
ya gotta love kids! I kinda wanted to try the black friday thing this year, but with a 4 week old, there was NO WAY IN HELL i was doing that. So I dreamed of it all day instead while I stayed home! :)
Kerry- I HOPE it goes away quicklyand I HOPE you did not catch it over the computer. IF you need a home peidalyte recipe (look at my blog at Sterlings b-day)-so you do not have to make a late night run to the store-it is the only thing Dacie kept down and was super simple. We are going on 14 days now-we got it again of sorts this weekend. Will it ever go away? I HATE it!I am so so so sorry! Read my motherhood notes for Over the river and through the woods, it will let you in on some insight I have regarding sickness. We seem to be always sick-I swear!!! BTW I could not figure out what the HTML address was and it would not let me cut and paste (for the counter) any ideas?
