We took a walk in the stroller today to get the mail (the mailbox is half-way up the street) and look what we got! The cute hair bow from Kayli! I was so excited, I opened it and put it on her in the stroller right away. Then I took her picure, but she doesn't know how to look at me and say "cheese" yet. Anyway, thanks Kayli! It is really cute! We love it!
So, this is what I got to do this afternoon while the kids were napping. I made my cards for the card exchange, and played around with some others. I made the Birthday card for the card exchange. I wanted to use the bright colors, so I played around with this and came up with this card. It isn't my usual style, so I am not 100% pleased with it, but I do like it. It is bright and cheery. The other cards are more my style, so I like them better. It's more me. I want to make more in different colors. I am going to go crazy making all the same card in many different color combinations. It's been a while since I have been able to sit down and create. I had fun.
Well, it is storming once again, so we will see if I get any sleep tonight. I hope we are safe! I was talking to my neighbor the other day about tornados, and she told me that I should be more worried about lightning than tornados. She said that they rarely touch down in the cities...it has something to do with the electricity or something like that. I am willing to believe it if it helps me feel more safe and calm about tornados. So, I guess I won't stay outside in a lightning storm.

Kerry I LOVE that you choose brights for this exchange. In my mind you are the Soft Subtles queen:-) I really like the bright ones, and of course the Polka Dots and Paisleys are cute too!! I went outside my comfort zone for this exchange too. I am excited to see what we get!!
Yay Kerry! I'm so glad you took a picture. I'm also very glad you got the right color. When I went to the post office, I was sending one to you and one to my sister. My sister's was red and pink, and after I got out of the post office, walking to the car, I was terrified that I had put the wrong one in the envelopes. Whew.
Your cards are way cute. I love the clear button--great touch.
Oh, yeah, sorry that I didn't write a note or anything, I was going to but then things got crazy. But I'm glad you like it...it can be a little reminder of your days when you were my nearest neighbour. (sniff sniff). And, when Avery grows long beautiful hair, you can just undo the barrette and take it off the headband.
Avery is such a cutie. I love the bow. How fun.
I hope you didn't get electrocuted or anything in the storm.

I'm jealous you won Kayli's drawing. I'm totally going to have to make 15 of those so I can put one on each of Eva's knots. I wonder how the old people at Walmart will like that? ;)
Avery is so stinking cute. I loved seeing all the pictures from her blessing day. We're going to have to come down sometime this spring/summer for a trip to Worlds of Fun if you're up for it.
