So, here I am ...3 weeks later. I finally got the pictures off my camera, so I can blog about our fun Easter tradition. Whenever I play hostess, I tend to not get very many pictures taken, so this is the best I've got! No adults!
.
We have a pretty large backyard with lots of trees. I know that a lot of parks and places like that host Easter Egg Hunts for the public, but I just hate the thought of the crowds, and the possibility that my kids would only get a few eggs, or none at all due to more aggressive kids. I really wanted them to have a chance to have an egg hunt, so I decided to host our very own egg hunt with some friends. We started this 3 years ago, right after we moved here, and plan to keep on hosting for years to come. It's been fun! We have a potluck lunch, and then the kids run wild while the adults visit.I look forward to it now.
I was worried this year about the weather, since we have had such a LONG winter this year. But, it turned out to be a beautiful day! Nice and sunny, a bit on the chilly side, but nothing a sweater didn't fix. It was great!
We had the biggest turn-out yet this year. We had 7 families, totalling 16 adults and 16 kids.We started taking a picture of all the kids after they found the eggs. Here is this year's group! The boys were outnumbered 11-5!
We can't wait for next year!
